Inside of "My Grandmother's Tea Pot"
While riding on RT 18 not far from our camp in Pymatuming, Pennsylvania we came across a small town called Adamsville, Pennsylvania.
A picturesque town with a small main street. There in the center of town was a lovely site “My Grandmother's Tea Pot”. Being a tea lover, I am always very interested in checking out tea houses.
It was closed; we took down the phone number, called a few days later, and made a reservation for “Lady Jane’s Cream Tea.”
Upon entering the tea house, we walked through 2 rooms of gifts beautifully displayed.
They had hats to borrow, and gifts to buy, including books and anything tea related, each item made in the USA or The British Isle’s.
My husband and I along with a friend enjoyed Peach tea, fresh baked scones with Morello Cherry Preserves, assorted finger sandwiches and chocolate pudding cake for dessert.
Fresh flowers from the owners garden were displayed on each table and a pansy decorated the Chocolate dessert.
The service was very personal, the owner telling us the story of how the shop was started by herself and her sister who run it. I can’t wait to go back again and take more friends to enjoy this laid back relaxing experience.
