A Touch of England, In Los Angeles

Paddington's Tea Room

Paddington's Tea Room is a little spot of Britain in the middle of Los Angeles. The atmosphere is cozy and elegant, and tasty treats and teas are served on a wonderful collection of fine bone china. A five course high tea and three course high tea are available and are among the highlights of the place. A delicious treat, served with ceremony; what a delightful way to spend the afternoon with a friend. A children's tea service and traditional Devonshire Tea are available as well.

My favorite among many favorites at Paddington's is the Devonshire Tea. I often choose loose leaf Earl Grey for this one. It is just right with the scones, Devonshire cream and chocolate truffles. Such a fun indulgence!

A cafe menu is available as well as the tea menu. It offers soups, sandwiches, salads, desserts, and several classic English favorites such as English Breakfast, Plougher's Lunch, Shepherd's Pie, and Bangers and Mash. All of these items are freshly made by a Cordon Bleu chef. Many specialty and house teas are available in leaf and bag form as well. Customers can try something new, request special blends, and take a taste of England home to brew each morning. A visit to Paddington's Tea Room is the perfect way to refresh and relax in the middle of a hectic day.

Holly, Thanks For Sharing

This sounds like a must visit for tea lovers traveling to California. I did a little checking and found that this establishment is family owned. It's good to see small business in America thriving here, as the second generation has entered the arena and continues to serve that city well.

Paddington's Tea room has been frequented by visiting royals as well as other celebrities. Who knows maybe it's possible to get a glimpse of the rich and famous there too.

Congratulations Julianne Tozer and family for seeing a dream come true. We wish you continued success and have high hopes of visiting you some day in the future.
