The Wonderful Silver Plume Tea Shop
by Frances Paul
My daughter, granddaughter and myself lived in Silver Plume for a few months in 2004.
Our favorite "special" thing to do was eat at the Tea Room. My granddaughter's favorite at the Tea Room was their ice cream sundae. If we had it after a meal we had to share because it was just too much. The owner (forgot her name)would sometimes put the shared sundae in two dishes. They seemed to be as big as having one each.
My sister's favorite was the apple pie.
My favorite was the shepard's pie. The pie was sooo good I soon started making my own (never as good as the Tea Room).
Down the street from the Tea Room was the Bakery. It changed hands during our stay. It had several breads and home-made tasting cookies. My favorite bread was the multi-grain (name?) bread. Warmed with butter it made a meal.
Our stay in Silver Plume was a special time that we'll never forget.
If you get a chance, visit Silver Plume and their Main Street attractions!

This sounds like a great place to visit. Our friends in Colorado will be grateful for the thumbs up on this tea house. People who are traveling will find there way there as well.
