    Thanksgiving - Afternoon tea

There is not a better way to celebrate those brisk fall days than with an afternoon tea party. The season calls for a time of celebration and gratitude.

It is a perfect time to host an autumn tea party. Afternoon tea is simple to prepare and can be as simple or elegant as you have time for it to be.

It is a great way to celebrate and make memories with friends. Here’s how to start a simple and easy tradition….

Yogi tea- a Healthy Coffee Alternative

Yogi Bhajan, an Indian spiritual teacher, brought the Sikh religion to America and began teaching Kundalini Yoga in 1969.

After each yoga class, he served a special spice tea to his students. The students affectionately named this drink "Yogi Tea".

The tea was a blend of five traditional Ayurvedic spices: cardamom seed, cinnamon bark, clove bud, ginger root and black pepper. Ayurvedic medicine holds that this combination of spices have unique, healthful properties.

    • 1/2 cup freshly squeezed lemon juice
    • 2 teaspoons honey

    Directions
