    Russian tea

I am in love with the traditions and history behind tea. It never ceases to amaze me, how a beverage can connect people and become ingrained into a culture. Tea was introduced into Russia relatively late compared to Europe and China. It was introduced in the seventeenth century. Yet, it has become the most popular drink of the country. The Russians have even developed their own tea ceremony.

This ceremony is not as elaborate as the Japanese or Chinese tea ceremonies, but it is nonetheless an important part of Russian culture. The Russian tea ceremony is about communication and togetherness.

If you have never seen a Russian tea pot, a Samovar, you must experience this for yourself. And a ceramic Russian Tea pot is colorful and often tells a story about the country.

I have done some research for you on Russian tea and found a few recipes to share with you as well. Come join me to   learn more
