Green Tea is Popping Up Everywhere

I was reading an article the other day that green tea has reached super star status. Everywhere I go I see it included in everything from ginger ale to skin care products.

I will confess I have found I have a fondness for Canada Dry’s Ginger Ale. I find that green tea pleasantly enhances the taste of ginger ale. And I am not a big supporter drinking of soda or fruit juices. It was introduced to me at a recent garden afternoon tea.

The health benefits of drinking green tea are said to promote brain health, shield your skin against wrinkles, and promotes eye, health and heart health.

It is important to remember that the healing power of green tea is lost quickly. Brew it in small quantities. Don’t forget to add a twist of lemon or orange juice to your tea, the citrus juice enhances the body’s ability to absorb all the abundant nutrients green tea has to offer.

I get as many questions about the concerns about the side effects of green tea as I do the health benefit, so I thought that I would address that here with you today.

To learn more about side effects go here.

Looking For Home and Garden Party Ideas?

Summer is here and nothing says elegance, style and simplicity as a garden tea party. Hosting a tea party is a great time to have friends over to visit and catch up, look like you went to a lot of fuss and still have time to enjoy the party.

I have taken time to do a lot of the planning for you. Learn more here… Of course, don’t forget the Fourth of July is coming up! I have a great suggestion for a Boston Tea Party…

    Try This Summer Treat

Here’s a cool summer treat for you to enjoy:

Red Raspberry Fruit-Tea Pops 2 cups hot red raspberry tea
    1/2 cup sugar
1 cup chopped strawberries or raspberries

Pour hot raspberry tea in sugar until dissolved; let cool slightly. Combine tea with strawberries or raspberries in medium bowl. Evenly pour into eight 4-ounce paper cups or popsicle molds. Freeze until almost firm, about 1 hour. Insert wooden ice pop sticks into centers; freeze until firm. To serve, press firmly on bottom of paper cup to remove. Makes eight servings. Enjoy!
