Tea enthusiasts are most often social beings, this is one reason many of us pursue the tea houses or tea shop atmosphere to enjoy. We've written about places we have visited and some of those articles can be found on the pages of Your Cup of Tea.
We would love to expand this area of the site and that's where you come in. Together we can make this the place to go to find tea houses all over the world.
You can show off your pictures of the tea shops you've visited as well.
We have made it a once a month thing to visit one of our favorite tea houses in New York City. Many of you may know of or have visited Alice’s Tea Cup on West 73rd Street. We enjoy the whimsical atmosphere there as well as the tea food they prepare.
It turns out that one of Paul's staff members has a daughter who works there. What's so unusual about that is she went to culinary school in Pittsburgh where Paul and I are from. At the time she was a student there Paul's oldest son was also attending the Pittsburgh Culinary Institute. They got to know each other while going to school together. It made us realize what a small world this really is.
Have you found a hidden tea shop gem that is tucked away in the last place you'd expect to find one.
Are you the man from the Cantor Fitzgerald firm that on 9-11 lost more than 700 employees, who bid $100,000 to have tea with the Duchess of York, Sarah Ferguson. (What a generous thing to do both on Sarah Ferguson's part and the high bidder's part)
If you are a Donald Trump Celebrity Apprentice fan you'll remember that auction where money was being raised for charity.
Lot's of us are dying to know how the afternoon tea went. What kind of tea was served? What about scones and tea sandwiches, were they extra special?
Tell us about that hidden tea shop gem that is tucked away in the last place you expected to find one.
Have you traveled many places of the world and gone to tea? Tell the rest of us all about it.
