Journey to Tea is the name Sarah Scarborough's upcoming lecture at the next Herb Society of America Educational Conference and Annual Meeting scheduled for May 27-29th, 2010. Below is an excerpt from the conference brochure that your readers might enjoy.

Please join us in Nashville in May for this fabulous meeting!

"Come taste, experience and learn all
about tea, the world’s most popular
drink! Sarah Scarborough will be
brewing, steeping, shaking and tasting
teas that will refresh and revitalize you all
summer long!

Taste Sarah’s signature blends and “Teatinis”
(tea based cocktails) made from
unique and delicious botanicals from
around the world.

Learn why tea is so good for you, how to make a perfect cup, how to blend your own using your
garden for inspiration and how teas pair
with food. See how tea can enhance your
life and also make a real difference in
the lives and communities of the women
who pick tea.

Sarah Scarborough founded Fair Trade
Teas in 2001 to connect tea lovers with
tea growers to improve the lives of both.
In 2000, she developed Thistle Farms,
a successful crafts business for the
employment of recovering prostitutes
in Nashville, Tennessee. As a Rotary
Ambassadorial Scholar in New Zealand,
Sarah promoted Fair Trade while
studying for an M.A. at the University of
Auckland and developing a mainstream
Fair Trade brand, Scarborough Fair. Her
work there earned a U.S. Congressional
Award of merit in 2005."

Hope to see you in Nashville in May!

According to the "Herb Society of America" website the recent flooding has not caused this conference to be canceled.

"The flooding in Nashville has not affected the Loews Vanderbilt Hotel or the airport. The Nashville Unit and headquarters staff have been in contact throughout this week. If there are any changes that need to be made to the events outside of the hotel, we will be in telephone and/or e-mail contact with all those who are attending the conference.

Join us in Nashville-a city of beautiful sounds and beautiful grounds for the 2010 Educational Conference & Annual Meeting of Members May 27-29, 2010 at the Loews Vanderbilt Hotel, Nashville TN."

It is sad to see the devastation caused by the recent flooding. We here at your-cup-of-tea are holding you in our thoughts.

Take time today to learn a thing or two about the lowly dandelion.

Enjoy the conference Julia
