Can Anyone Help Solve This Mystery

I love your website! Can you please answer a question for me?

I purchased 2 sets of Royal Albert Memory Lane Cups/saucers from 2 different sellers on Ebay. One set doesn't have the "c Royal Albert Ltd 1965" right under the backstamp and the other does. The one that doesn't have it seems thinner and not as good in quality. Can you please tell me what the difference is between the sets?
